Additional charges may apply for de-matting, de-shedding excessive coat, flea and tick removal,
or for special handling fees due to the dog’s temperament and behavior during the groom.

MANY PEOPLE ASK...
Why cat grooming is so important. They usually say: "Don't cats groom themselves?". Well, we are here to clear the misconception. Please know that cats LICK themselves. They do not GROOM themselves.
They cannot trim their nails, brush their hair, find the right shampoo for their skin and then bathe themselves. They don't clean their ears.p
But most importantly, they are unable to verbally communicate with you and say: "Hey mom, dad, I know you love me so very much, but life gets busy sometimes, I get that. It seems like I'm getting a few tangles in my coat right here (then they point to their belly or armpits etc). Can you please brush them out before they become really painful and then it's too late to brush them out?"
HOW DOES THE PROBLEM START?
These tangles that our sweet kitty in this story is talking about can happen to any cat with long or even short hair. YES, I said short hair...
What happens is the oil from their skin mixes with the dead hair. The dead hair then becomes trapped if not brushed out in time. That in turn causes what we call in the grooming world "MATTED HAIR".
Matted hair can be very scary (if it's happened to your cat you know what we are talking about). The reason why it can be so scary is because it kind of creeps up on you. It seems like they are fine one day and matted the next. And by the time you realize it, it's too late. It can't be brushed. Our kitty cats get in a bad mood, and rightly so since those mats are now pulling on their skin and can be very painful and uncomfortable for them. This makes the entire family sad and concerned.
WELL, WHAT CAN BE DONE??
There is one very important word you will hear repeatedly at Chatty Cats and the word is PREVENTION. Thankfully the word is simple and so is the action. We are here to help you PREVENT the painful issues that many cats face. From hairballs, to shedding all over the house, to PREVENTING those tangles from ever even starting. The words "My cat is matted" won't ever have to come out of your mouth again! Great news isn't it?
We are here to help you and your fur babies with all your grooming needs! We'll let you worry about petting and snuggling. And we'll take care of the brushing and bathing. Now that's a good deal! ;)
Meet Your Groomer
Hi my name is Chelsea, I'm the owner and groomer of Chatty cats grooming.
I started Chatty Cats with our feline companions in mind. I wanted to created a space to give our
cats the low stress and enjoyable experience of grooming that they truly can have. I
started grooming in 2011, inspired by growing up with a talented groomer and meeting
some awesome master groomers. After grooming my first cat I knew this was My niche.
Learning new techniques and continuing education is important to me, i regularly attend expos and seminars.
in 2023 I decided to further my education more and joined the nation cat groomers institute, So i
May on day be national recognized Master cat Groomer
Cat groomers are not as common and I am proud to be one.
I grew up on a pet friendly household ,As a teen I worked with terriers in akc confirmation and junior handlers.
I enjoy spending my free time with riding horses, taking my dogs camping and taking naps with my cats.
